Audiovector R 10 Arreté: A Revolutionary Leap in Sound Experience
Explore the groundbreaking Audiovector R 10 Arreté, a flagship loudspeaker that transforms your audio experience with cutting-edge technology.
Introduction to the Audiovector R 10 Arreté
Audiovector, based in Copenhagen, proudly announces the launch of its flagship loudspeaker, the R 10 Arreté. With the latest innovations from Audiovector, this speaker guarantees an audio experience that stands unparalleled in the world of sound. Debuting at HIGH END Munich 2025, the R 10 will soon be accessible through partner distributors around the globe.
With a rich heritage spanning 45 years, Audiovector has continually pushed the envelope of high-performance audio. The new R 10 Arreté symbolizes the zenith of home audio technology.
Elegant Design and Engineering
Designed, engineered, and handcrafted in Denmark, the R 10 is not just a loudspeaker; it's a visual masterpiece as stunning as its sound. A suite of cutting-edge Audiovector innovations allows listeners to dive deep into the full range of music, appreciating every intricate detail.
“Our ambition was to create something timeless and uncompromising – both in appearance and performance,” says Audiovector CEO Mads Klifoth. “The R 10 has been developed entirely from the ground up. Every single component – from the cabinet to the drive units – has been purpose-designed to deliver the most natural, dynamic, and open sound reproduction we have ever achieved.”
The R 10 Arreté: Entering a New Dimension
One of the standout features of the R 10 is its Dual AMT Tweeter, which integrates Audiovector’s Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC). This technology delivers an exceptionally open, precise, and three-dimensional treble, allowing music to not just be heard but truly felt. The main zero-compression AMT tweeter covers frequencies from 3,000 Hz to 53,000 Hz, while a dedicated hyper tweeter expands treble response beyond human hearing into the range of 20,000 Hz to 53,000 Hz. This setup maximizes detail retrieval and ensures exceptional imaging within the soundstage, presenting an expansive top end rich with extraordinary micro-dynamics.
Revolutionary Driver Array
The R 10 features a groundbreaking low-frequency array of eight rear-mounted bass drivers. This configuration boasts the surface area and displacement equivalent to a 15-inch woofer, ensuring deep bass extension with controlled articulation. This innovative design mitigates cabinet-induced pressure buildup, leading to a fast, powerful, and finely controlled low-end response.
Introducing the Accelerated Force Concept
Audiovector has introduced the Accelerated Force Concept (AFC), a unique bass/midrange structure that expertly controls the acceleration and deceleration of drive units. This results in lightning-fast response, ultra-low distortion, and a tactile sound presence that listeners can hear and feel.
Unique Damping Control for Optimum Sound
Another impressive feature of the R 10 is its flexible damping control, which aligns cabinet resonance and energy release in perfect synchrony with the music. This design choice ensures a calm, controlled, and enriching musical performance.
The Line Array Bass System Explained
The rear-facing bass line source is engineered for the even distribution of bass energy throughout the listening area. With eight long-throw drivers each capable of ±12 mm linear travel, they collectively match the surface area of a single 15-inch driver. However, distributing bass across multiple fast subwoofer drivers results in enhanced speed and precision.
These bass drivers extend up to 2,000 Hz with a tapered frequency response. On the front baffle, two upper bass/lower midrange drivers deliver swift, precise, and undistorted performance in the critical lower midrange area where much of the musical dynamics reside. This combination creates an expansive and open soundstage filled with deep, immersive bass.
“This outstanding speaker not only surpasses our previous benchmark, the R 8 Arreté, but also marks ten years of close collaboration between my father, Ole, and myself. With a deep love for music and an uncompromising curiosity, we have continually pushed the boundaries of what is possible. The R 10 is the result of this journey – a culmination, a statement, and a tribute to passion, precision, and family-driven innovation,” Mads continues.
The Audiovector R 10 is meticulously handcrafted from premium, high-density wood, finished in luxurious African Mahogany Crotch Piano, Canadian Birdseye Maple Piano, and Italian Walnut Burl Piano.
