The Split That Sparked a New Beginning
It feels like only yesterday when Turnstile announced they were parting ways with Brady Ebert after 12 years of rocking together. The news came in 2022 via an Instagram story where the band expressed their gratitude:
“We are deeply grateful for our time together. Our love for him continues and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
Brady wasn’t just a player; he was one of Turnstile’s founding members, alongside vocalist Brendan Yates. Along with bassist/vocalist Franz Lyons, drummer Daniel Fang, and guitarist Sean Cullen (later replaced by Pat McCrory), they launched the band in 2010 and carved out a hardcore legacy.
Ebert’s guitar work is etched into three studio albums:
- Nonstop Feeling (2016)
- Time & Space (2018)
- Glow On (2021)
Each album pushed hardcore boundaries, and Ebert’s signature riffs were an integral part of that evolution.
Turnstile’s Ongoing Journey
Even as Ebert forges a new path, Turnstile shows no signs of slowing down. Their 2025 US tour kicked off in Nashville with a standout moment: a duet with Paramore’s Hayley Williams on “Seein’ Stars.” They’ve got an all-star supporting cast too, including SPEED, Jane Remover, Mannequin Pussy, Blood Orange, and Amyl & The Sniffers.

Their latest album Never Enough has been a critical darling, earning glowing reviews and securing a spot on best-of-2025 lists. Drummer Daniel Fang shared in a June interview that the success of Glow On didn’t weigh on them when making this follow-up:
“I don’t know how anyone would have time or the bandwidth to manage outside expectations... there’s an infinite well within everyone [in the band]… I don’t understand how anyone could be guided by that when there’s so much else to work off of.”
Their Glastonbury 2025 set was a moshpit-fueled triumph, praised for its sheer intensity and precision—a testament to their relentless energy and the loyal fanbase rallying behind them. The band is set for a UK and European tour starting in Dublin on Halloween, so the hardcore spirit is very much alive on both sides of the pond.
Hardcore's New Chapter with The S.E.T.
The rise of The S.E.T. feels like a natural next chapter for Brady Ebert—a chance to channel his passion into fresh sonic landscapes while staying true to hardcore roots. For those who’ve watched Turnstile’s evolution, this new project offers a thrilling glimpse of what’s to come.
