Introducing the Stylish and Affordable CMF Phone 2 Pro
Explore the features of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, an affordable smartphone that stands out in the market with its impressive specs and design.
Overview of the CMF Phone 2 Pro
Nothing has unveiled their latest creation—the CMF Phone 2 Pro—set to launch on May 6. With starting prices around $340 for the base model, it’s shaping up to be one of the best budget smartphones available.
Pricing and Variants
The basic version of the Phone 2 Pro features 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for just $340. For those seeking a bit more power, the enhanced version comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at a price point of approximately $370. This definitely aligns with the concept of being “affordable.”
Impressive Specifications
Not only is the CMF Phone 2 Pro budget-friendly, but it also boasts some impressive specs. It features a four-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main sensor on the rear and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The processor has been upgraded from the previous model, making it 10% faster and improving graphics performance by 5%. Furthermore, the battery life is notable, lasting nearly two full days on a single charge.

Battery Performance
To be specific, the battery is rated for:
- 47 hours of voice calls
- 22 hours of YouTube viewing
- 10 hours of playing Battlegrounds Mobile India
While it’s great to see such performance, it’s important to note that the Phone 2 Pro has some downsides that explain its lower price point. The ultra-wide camera is only 8 MP, and the maximum processor clock speed is less competitive compared to high-end devices like the iPhone 16 or Samsung Galaxy S25 (though it stands well against other budget options).
Durability Concerns
Additionally, it has an IP54 rating, which is less robust than the IP68 rating found on many competitors. This means it’s not as resistant to dust and water, likely because of its customizable design.
We’ll need to conduct full tests before making a final judgment, but with such a low entry price, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is likely to win over a lot of fans. If you’re eager to get your hands on one, pre-orders are already open ahead of the official launch on May 6.
Affordable Audio Options
If you're not in the market for a budget phone, Nothing has also announced three pairs of CMF earbuds that provide affordable options for audio enthusiasts.
The standard model, CMF Buds 2, is priced at $80 and supports spatial audio, hybrid active noise cancellation of up to 48 dB, and enhanced sound tuning from Dirac, promising a "cleaner and more dynamic sound."
Want to spend a bit less? The CMF Buds 2a are available for around $70 and offer entry-level features with less effective noise cancellation. Meanwhile, if your budget allows, you can opt for the CMF Buds 2 Plus at approximately $90. These come equipped with Hi-Res LDAC, hearing compensation, and full equalizer tuning for what Nothing describes as a “new level of sound.”
We’ll have to test these earbuds to see what they can really do. Our previous review of the CMF By Nothing Buds was generally positive, awarding them three and a half stars and praising their stylish design and budget-friendly nature. However, we did find that sound quality and noise cancellation could use some improvement.
It might be worth waiting for the reviews to see if these new models meet your expectations before placing your pre-orders ahead of their May 6 release.
