Lorde Unveils Extensive Tour Plans for ‘Virgin’ Album Release

Lorde’s Upcoming ‘Virgin’ Album and Tour Details

Lorde is gearing up for an exhilarating comeback with her new album, Virgin, supported by a two-leg Ultrasound world tour starting on September 17 in Austin, Texas. The European leg will follow, commencing on November 9 in Luxembourg and wrapping up in Stockholm on December 9.

The tour is set to feature some incredible opening acts, including Blood Orange and Jim-E Stack, both of whom have contributed their talents to the album, along with The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yana, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, and Oklou. Fans can snag tickets during the presale starting May 14, with general sales kicking off two days later.

Lorde’s Creative Journey

Lorde has taken a well-deserved break from touring over the past two years, dedicating that time to crafting Virgin, which will be released on June 27 through Republic Records. Notable contributors to the album include Daniel Nigro, Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged, and Buddy Ross.

In a candid conversation with artist Martine Syms, Lorde shared her creative mindset:

“I’m not going to put anything out until I’m in my body the way I know I’m supposed to be, to be able to do my work. That’s all I did the last four years, basically. This album is a byproduct of that process of fully coming into my body and feeling the fullness of my power. It’s cool to be back in that place of, like, the portal opening and the weight. I’m myself. All these parts of me are represented in a bunch of different ways. I’m not hiding from myself. I’m not stealing from myself.”
