A Journey Back Home and Beyond: Sigrid’s Special Gigs Unveiled
When a pop star takes a step back from the bright lights and roaring crowds to connect with nature and fans in raw, stripped-down shows, you know it’s something special. Norwegian sensation Sigrid does exactly this in the new DHL FAST-TRACK mini-documentary, where she revisits the roots of her musical journey in Bergen and embarks on a first-time adventure to Osaka, Japan.

Intimate moments with Sigrid in the DHL FAST-TRACK documentary.
Earlier this year, Sigrid returned to Bergen, the charming city that shaped her teenage years and her budding passion for songwriting. Fans joined her for a misty, reflective walk through Fløyen Park, winding down to an acoustic set at the quaint Skomakerstuan Café—a setting as cozy as it sounds, perfect for those stripped-back vibes.
Then, turning the globe, Sigrid touched down in Osaka for the very first time. There, she invited fans along the scenic Minoh Falls trail and later performed an intimate gig inside a traditional Japanese villa, blending culture and music in a serene setting.
Music & Nature: Sigrid’s Two Big Loves
Sigrid shared her fondness for this project, explaining, “We wanted to create a space for people to come together with music and nature, which are the two big loves of my life. It was a chance to remind myself, the people who listen to my music and anyone watching this documentary how important it is to get out into nature whenever they can—not just because it’s amazing for our mental health but also to remember what we need to protect.”
It’s a beautiful reminder that music isn’t just something to consume but a bridge connecting us to the world and ourselves.
Sustainability in Motion: Powered by DHL’s GoGreen Plus
Behind the scenes, these unique gigs were made possible with the help of DHL’s GoGreen Plus service—an initiative supporting individuals and businesses in reducing their carbon footprint. Reflecting her ethos, Sigrid said, “It’s important to make changes wherever you can. Sustainability isn’t about perfection, it’s about doing your bit.”
This partnership perfectly marries creativity, ecological awareness, and community spirit—something the world desperately needs now.
Full Circle: Returning to Bergen’s Roots
For Sigrid, revisiting Bergen was more than just a gig; it was a deeply personal homecoming. “Coming back home always reminds me why I do this, which is to make music I love and create joy around me,” she shared.

This nostalgic pilgrimage to her musical birthplace reaffirms how far she’s come, yet how grounded she remains.
Osaka: Music’s Universal Language
Visiting Osaka for the first time offered a fresh perspective. “It is cheesy but it’s true. It’s crazy to write songs that are so personal and then go to the other side of the planet and discover people who’ve had the exact same experiences as you. In an age where people are scrambling to find community in real life, it’s a very lovely thing to experience.”
This is the magic of music—it transcends borders, languages, and cultures, knitting strangers into a shared human experience.
The Album That Sparked It All: ‘There’s Always More That I Could Say’
Sigrid’s collaboration with DHL FAST-TRACK was also a perfect launchpad for her third album, There’s Always More That I Could Say. She reflected on rediscovering the joy that fueled her early career before the complexities of the music industry took hold.
“My first album Sucker Punch was bursting with so many ideas because I’d never made a full-length before whereas How To Let Go was more serious. This record combines the best of both of those things,” she said.
The album’s dynamic range shines through—from tender ballads like ‘Eternal Sunshine’ and the title track to cheeky, self-aware anthems such as ‘Kiss The Sky’ and ‘I’ll Always Be Your Girl’. “I feel like I’ve proven myself and I know that people know that I can sing, so it was fun to just enjoy this one.”

The album’s blend of snarling rock riffs and vulnerable folk melodies highlights Sigrid’s fearless genre-bending approach. “It just feels so exciting right now. Rosalia’s new album Lux is so good, Chappell Roan’s come in with such unique flair and Sabrina Carpenter’s made pop music funny and satirical. I could go on because there are so many artists bending the genre.”
Intimate Acoustic Shows & High-Energy Tours
Alongside the DHL gigs, Sigrid marked her album release with a series of stripped-down acoustic performances throughout the UK. “I love doing acoustic things. I try to do it as often as I can because it always feels like a grounding moment.”

Looking ahead, 2026 promises a more electrifying chapter for Sigrid with a UK and European headline tour kicking off in March. “My shows are a very fun, joyous and energetic space where you can come and just be yourself,” she explains. “There will also be cosy moshpits, which I think will be fun.”
On top of that, Sigrid will join Ed Sheeran for stadium shows across North America. “I’m honoured and humbled to have that opportunity – I’ve always dreamt of playing in a stadium.” And yes, she’s hoping to spark at least one mosh pit at every show.
Nature: Sigrid’s Sanctuary Amid the Spotlight
When the whirlwind of touring gets overwhelming, nature remains Sigrid’s sanctuary. “I don’t think it would be possible for me to be a musician if I didn’t have that [sanctuary]. It’s just where I go to relax,” she says. “It reminds me of my childhood and of being a kid. It’s so important to keep that part of you intact.”
This grounding aspect reflects in her music and her message—reminding all of us to cherish and protect our natural world.
