Bohemian FC Unveils 2026 Away Kit with Kneecap to Support ACLAÍ Palestine
Irish football club Bohemian FC and rap trio Kneecap unite for a powerful 2026 away kit, raising funds for ACLAÍ Palestine and celebrating solidarity through music and sport.
A Jersey That Tells a Story of Solidarity
When football meets music, and both stand for a cause, the result is nothing short of inspiring. Bohemian FC, the fan-owned Dublin football club, has teamed up with the vibrant Irish rap trio Kneecap to design their 2026 away kit — a collaboration that goes beyond sport, immersing itself in a heartfelt tribute to the unbreakable bond between Irish and Palestinian communities.

This isn’t just any kit. The design cleverly weaves the Irish and Palestinian flags together, symbolizing unity and shared struggles. Inside the neck of the shirt, the letters C.E.A.R.T.A. — meaning “rights” in Irish and inspired by a Kneecap song — are stitched, adding a subtle yet profound layer of meaning for fans and wearers alike.
Backing ACLAÍ Palestine: Building Bridges Through Music
What makes this jersey extra special is 30% of its profits continue to support ACLAÍ Palestine, a community gym located in the Lajee Centre inside the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, West Bank, Palestine. The funds will contribute to building a community music studio, providing a creative space for Palestinian artists to record and produce their own music — a powerful gesture of cultural empowerment and hope.
The shirt was first available at the Bohemian FC merchandise shop at Dalymount Park on December 16 and 17 from 1-7 pm, before going online on December 18 at midday.

Voices Behind the Project
Daniel Lambert, Kneecap’s manager and Bohemian FC’s Chief Commercial Officer, shared his excitement about the jersey’s unveiling:
“We are delighted to unveil this jersey following lots of work over the past few months with Kneecap and with ACLAÍ Palestine. The rise of the band, to now become a recognisable name across the world playing to sold out arenas and festival headliners, has been spectacular. Even more impressive is to see them continuously highlight and speak about Palestine to bigger and bigger crowds and be unrelenting in their moral convictions. To have also done this in the Irish language and whilst advocating for the rights of oppressed people across the world is an inspiration to so many people.”
Meanwhile, Kneecap’s rapper Móglaí Bap expressed the deep connection between the band and Bohemian FC:
“There are few sporting clubs in this world who continue to stand strong and unyielding against oppression and in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Bohemian F.C. is one of them and being a small part of this club with signage at Dalymount Park and attending some games has been an honour for us in Kneecap. We will always stand with them and to do so whilst helping to create a space where Palestinian artists can hopefully flourish is special. We want to help spread the music created at the new studio space as much as we can and platform these artists.”
Ainle Ó Cairealláin, founder and director of ACLAÍ Palestine, highlighted what this collaboration means for the community:
“The release of this jersey will create opportunities in the Aida refugee camp for young people to learn about music production, and create a space for practicing and recording music, as well as providing an invaluable resource for the community in the camp. This project is a symbol of solidarity between Ireland and Palestine, and serves to overcome the isolation that is forced upon Palestinians by the ongoing violence and oppression of the occupation and the indifference of Western governments and many media outlets. We hope that the bridge built with the release of this jersey will be the beginning of an enduring relationship and that will result in deep connections between Irish and Palestinian artists that might one day share a stage together.”
Kneecap: Music with a Message
Kneecap’s activism is no secret. Over the years, they have consistently raised funds and awareness for Palestine. Just last year, Móglaí Bap ran 10km daily while on tour to raise more than £30,000 for food parcels in Gaza. The band also took part in the Gig For Gaza in London and returned this year with a DJ set to continue supporting Gaza’s people.

A Tradition of Music and Football Collaborations
Bohemian FC has been no stranger to teaming up with iconic Irish musicians for special kits that support worthy causes. Earlier in 2025, Oasis collaborated with the club for an exclusive shirt, sharing profits with Music Generation Ireland and Irish Community Care Manchester.
Not to mention the memorable partnership with Fontaines D.C., who launched a third alternative jersey featuring a Palestinian flag and Irish slogan “Saoirse don Phalaistín” (Free Palestine). The shirt, designed by guitarist Carlos O’Connell alongside Bohemian’s designers, gained international attention — even Greta Thunberg was spotted wearing it during her Freedom Flotilla campaign to Gaza.
Kneecap’s Rise and Impact
The band’s influence continues to grow. It was recently revealed that Kneecap attracted more Spotify listeners in Ireland in 2025 than legendary icons like The Beatles and Elton John. Their authentic voice, blending Irish language and activism, has resonated deeply with fans around the world.
Why This Away Kit Matters
This Bohemian FC away kit is more than just a football shirt; it’s a symbol of resistance, cultural exchange, and the power of community. It’s a reminder that music and sport can come together to uplift voices often unheard and to foster connections across continents.
Whether you’re a Bohemian fan, a supporter of Palestine, or simply someone who loves meaningful music and football collaborations, this jersey is a testament to what can be achieved when passion meets purpose.
