Eindhoven, the Netherlands – May 6, 2025 — Dutch audio manufacturer Aequo Audio is set to unveil a revolutionary loudspeaker enclosure technology at the upcoming High-End Show in Munich. This innovative design utilizes a proprietary Nano material that converts vibration into heat, minimizing cabinet resonances across the entire audible and ultrasonic spectrum—from 1 Hz to 100,000 Hz. This marks a remarkable achievement in acoustic engineering.

Innovative Loudspeaker Models

At the High-End Show in Munich, Aequo will showcase two new groundbreaking loudspeaker models:

  • ADAMANTIS – A passive 3-way design that promises to deliver exceptional sound quality.
  • ENSIUM – A 500W bass-assisted 3-way speaker with a room and placement correction system, operating entirely in the analog domain.

Both models feature complex acoustically optimized 3D shapes, adhering to Aequo’s "form follows function" design philosophy. The innovative castability of the Nano material allows for these striking designs while maximizing acoustic performance.

Design and Engineering Excellence

Weighing in at over 100 kg (220 lbs) per speaker, these loudspeakers are no lightweights. They deliver a surprisingly large internal volume relative to their size and footprint.

“We begin with a perfect, time-aligned acoustic shape and refine from there without compromise,” says Ivo Sparidaens, Aequo’s founder and chief technologist. “Combined with our latest driver designs and filter technology, the result is a speaker with ultra-low baffle diffraction and unprecedented levels of linearity in acoustic phase, distortion, and dynamics. It sets new standards in terms of palpable holographic imaging and beyond wall sound staging and does so at an amazing level of detail with a uniquely effortless and always natural sincerity.”

Live Demonstrations at the Show

Live demonstrations of the Ensium loudspeaker will be available at Atrium 4.2, Room F.204 during the Munich High-End Show, allowing attendees to experience the innovative technology firsthand.
